Lane Springs Falls Primitive Stage Stop
![]()
A large group of Ranch Riders showed up on the morning of July 2 to
break ground on our first primitive stage stop. With the
assistance of some expert builders we got started off on the right foot.
This is the beginning of a two unit stage stop with doors on each end.

Chuck demonstrates the art of mixing concrete by pouring it between two
buckets. We politely observed his method and then did it our way using
a spade shovel to mix it in a single bucket.

With the unit framed, braced and the posts set in concrete it was time to
call it a day and head for a cooler spot.
The next day the work continued beginning with the framing of the doors.

A big Thank You to all who volunteered labor and materials used in the making of this new stage stop. We would also like to thank all who stopped by and showed appreciation for what we were doing.

A second primitive stage stop was constructed at compound 3 & 4 at the
request of ranger #2. This stage stop will be available to both the
rangers and the members. It will be appreciated by those waiting in
line to put their camper up during the busy times. This stage stop is
in an area where the pumper truck can access it so it was constructed using
a plastic barrel with an access pipe where it can be pumped out.
The coffee containers are used to keep the toilet paper in so that it
doesn't collect moisture. The hole is lined with PVC to reduce the
likelihood of wasp stings and bug bytes.
